Southwestern Chapter Language Services & Inclusion Committee

Our goal is to encourage diversity of thought, and promote inclusion by
eliminating language barriers that isolate collaboration with those that speak
other languages.

Opening up collaboration between different groups, not only allows us to
communicate our results, but also promotes inclusion and diversity of
thought in our research. We do this by translating research articles and
opportunities for collaboration such as travel awards and research projects.

Specifically we will:

• Translate and post any opportunities to collaborate to our chapter’s social
  media.
• Translate papers by request.
• Post about relevant non-english papers, summarizing their results.
• Translate and communicate opportunities for collaboration or travel funding
  to other labs.
