Active Learning, Lectures, and Student Outcomes in 4D

ESA’s Four-Dimensional Ecology Education (4DEE) framework challenges educators to integrate multiple dimensions in the teaching and learning of ecology. One way to accomplish this is using active learning during lectures. How can we incorporate ecological practices and human-environment interactions along with ecological concepts using active learning techniques in lectures to improve student outcomes?
