Linh Anh Cat
I am an ecologist and science writer, covering the living world from microbes to ecosystems.
I am a microbial ecologist interested in how tiny microbes make big impacts in ecosystems. My research has brought me to scenic environments from deserts to boreal forests. I earned my Ph.D. in biological sciences at University of California, Irvine studying airborne microbes, particularly those that cause disease. I am the Chief of Natural Resource Management & Science with the National Park Service at Cabrillo National Monument in San Diego.
